ABOUT US

  • We are open from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday and offer a variety of sessions for your child to attend.

  • You are more than welcome to bring your child in a little later or collect them before their nursery session ends but please let the nursery manager know as we wouldn’t want your child to miss out on something exciting e.g. a trip.

  • No, we are only open Monday to Friday and do not offer childcare during the weekend.

FEES

  • Your nursery fees cover all snacks, meals and extra-curricular activities that the nursery offers. Invoices are issued on the 21st of each month to be paid by the 1st of the month. We are closed during the period between Christmas and New Years and fees and you are not charged for this period.

  • Due to inflation, the cost of living, ensuring our hard working educators are paid fairly and the stagnant growth of funding per child, we may, on occasion have to increase our fees.

Any fee increase will be communicated at least two months before taking affect.

  • Unfortunately there can be no refunds when your child is sick or on holiday as staff rotas are planned well in advance for the days your child attends.

JOINING US

  • If you are interested in visiting us, you can phone, email or contact us via the website where a manager will get in touch with you and arrange a visit to the nursery.

  • Once you have visited our nursery and decided it is the right place for your little one, you will be asked to complete a registration form which outlines the days and sessions you would like. If these days and sessions are available then a registration fee of £50 is paid via bank transfer and your child’s place is secure.

  • Around 3-4 weeks before your child’s start date, the nursery manager will be in touch to arrange settling in sessions with your child’s key person. These are staggered sessions which support your child in getting to know the nursery, the children and the adults that will be looking after them.

THE NURSERY DAY

  • We use a fantastic app called EYworks, where our educators will post updates on what your child has ate, how long they have slept and any other important information throughout the day.

At the end of each day, your child’s key person or their buddy will also complete a handover where they tell you about all of the wonderful things your child has been up to.

  • At The Little Oak Tree Day Nursery, meals are served every two hours. Children have breakfast, lunch and a light tea as well as two snack times throughout a full nursery day. All meals are planned carefully to ensure your child receives a balanced and varied diet whilst in our care.

We can also accommodate for all dietary requirements.

  • We are very lucky to have a separate room for our children under 2 which also acts as a sleep space for the children within the nursery.

We have two low level pods, that are available at all times for babies to sleep in and a variety of pull out mattresses.

Sheets and blankets are washed after each sleep and you are welcome to send your child in with their own blanket from home if it provides them with comfort.
